Biographies

The vision of RAS-berry was dreamt first in 2004; the band was then founded shortly afterwards. Following a two-year dynasty dominating the top of the Kenyan pop charts RAS-berry finally released a song, "I Feel Kenyan" early in the summer of 2006. After riding upon the waves of success from their first hit single, the band assembles again in hopes of releasing yet another masterpiece.

There are two members in RAS-berry; the following are their stories.

NR: Born deep in the wild jungles of Kenya, our lead vocalist was raised by wolves. However, as he grew stronger and stronger his canine counterparts could no longer keep up, and the singer decided to hit the big city. Once in Nairobi, he had no money and nowhere to go, until a young hitchiker off the street asked him if he was interested in making a band. Today, NR and the hitchiker are the most prominent band in all of Kenya. Buy their new album (R.A.S. now!)

BD: Once a Kenyan politician, but after the lawsuit the lead guitarist lost everything. So in desperation and a wave of depression he decided to pick up a guitar, and then play it, too. Roaming the streets with nothing but memories of his glorious past, he crossed a wolf-like human, and decided it was the best he was going to get. So he settled with the wolf man, and the two started a band. Now they are the most successful musical influence in Kenya, and as they start their three city tour, the two decided it was about time they snatched a page on thenr.net.
