Now that thenr is back in full swing, I've been working on the site a lot lately and I'm proud to announce several new additions:1) There is a new written work section on the site (look on the right column), where I will publish some of my better essays and fictional writings. So far only one essay is up, here. The page took a lot of work. I'd like to especially thank Brian, whose hours of effort were crucial in getting the page to look nice and yet function at the same time.
2) There is an updated about page! Check it out here.
3) I've updated and organized the links in the right-side column of the site. Hopefully things are a little easier to access now.
3) I'm currently working on a new project with Brian nicknamed PROJECT ROLLING POPLAR. It's a webcomic site linked with thenr. We're hoping to updated it once every two weeks.
4) As you may know, I've begun work on the fourth installment of the Kenya Story, but, unfortunately, I will be out of town for much of the month. I will keep you updated.
5) I will also begin work on another project linked to thenr, nicknamed THE AMBROSIA PROJECT.
It's an exciting time for thenr.net and as always thanks for your support!

I often find myself jumping from one personal site (blog if you may) to another, looking for inspiration in an attempt to improve my own site. So you can imagine I was delighted to fall upon this review of my humble thenr.net:
"I just wanted to make a post dedicated to TheNR.Net. This site is pretty much sweet, its filled with tons of cool stuff, like The Kenya Stories and Motobu's Mansion. Also, the author is cool too, I know him personally, and he's basically a genius. So if you're ever bored and need something to pass the time with, just go check it out."
First thing's first--I'd like to thank Dan, not only for the thoughtful review, but calling thenr.net an inspiration is the greatest compliment any webmaster may receive.
Secondly, I'd also like to thank him for the link-back. Often times webmasters are selfish and refuse to link to other sites. For nascent sites (I still consider mine to be one), linking back is crucial to the site's growth and traffic. In other words, "help a brother out" and link back.
I encourage you all to visit Dan's site: here. Also, you may find a link to Dan's website ("Dan's Wonder Emporium") in the right column under the "Links" menu. Support us amateur webmasters and the art of writing!
I hope you enjoyed your Independence Day.

Spain wins Euro 2008!Unfortunately Germany's anemic offense didn't make much of an exciting match. Perhaps we'll have a more exciting final in 2012.
Final, ESP 1:0 GER
Torres (ESP) 33'
Time to buy a Spain jersey before the stores run out!

In a letter to Rousseu (August 31, 1761):

This month, two years ago, thenr.net was born.
Thank you.

Friday, June 27, 2008, 15:53 - General, Announcements, Music/RAS-berry
Thenr has returned from its school-year slumber!Yesterday, RAS-berry began work on their newest song, a collaboration with artist Nick Thompson (featured in the studio outtake version of "Red River"). Visit Thompson's page here.
Also, work on Kenya Story IV has begun and our programmers are currently working on developing web games (perhaps Motubu II in the near future).
Thenr is revived for the summer! Watch as I slowly purge the front page of my American History assignments.
