Henry Clay's response after being warned that his strong views on controversial subjects like slavery and the American System would hurt his bid for the Presidency:
"I'd rather be right than be President."
-Henry Clay (1777-1852)

This month's quote is from Nixon's address to the nation, delivered on November 3rd, 1969, regarding the Vietnam War. The speech is popularly titled "The Silent Majority."
"Let us be united for peace. Let us also be united against defeat. Because let us understand--North Vietnam cannot defeat or humiliate the United States. Only Americans can do that."
-President Richard Nixon (1913-1994)
Enjoy Halloween.

I came across this quote in the movie Rendition.
"I fear you speak upon the rack,
Where men enforced do speak anything."
-William Shakespeare (1564-1616)
The quote questions the validity of using torture in interrogations, specifically in the instance where one is tortured for information that he/she does not possess, in which case that person releases false information just to cease the immediate pain.
By the way, two years ago, this very month, the tradition of the thenr monthly quote was born! Flashback.
Now, isn't that exciting?

It's that time of the month again... quote time! This month's quote is from an exchange between Nancy Astor (1879-1964), the first woman to serve in the British Parliament in the House of Commons, and Prime Minister Winston Churchill (1874-1965), who I assume requires no introduction.
"Mrs. Astor: Mr. Churchill, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea.
Mr. Churchill: Madam, if I were your husband, I'd drink it!"
Summer is almost over, I hope you enjoy the final moments. And RAS-berry has just finished their second recorded, full-length song entitled "Dream". It will be ready for release on the Another Day [DEMO] once our final song on the demo album "Another Day" is finished.

It's time for the quote of the month... on the last day of July. This week has been busy.
"If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter"
