Welcome, again, as you all probably know by now it's the Ides of February today, so that means we're resuming our longest running tradition of the ASCII Animation!Today I'd like to share with you all my latest creation, the official Thenr Fishie. Our water-dwelling little friend here will soon sweep billboards across America as the fish heads our thenr.net's newest wave of campaign ads. Or, at least something like that.
"The Official Thenr Fish Mascot"
You're probably wondering how I mastered the art of ASCII in so little time - well, it's a secret, so stick around for more.

First note, sorry to all, KS III has been delayed, because the site has moved and a sister site has been created, please forgive me! Also, exams are coming up, so KS III may take until February. But, the good news is as follows, thenr.net has moved to a new server! This means less restrictions, so flash and audio files are now allowed on thenr.net! Yes!
Now, here's the BEST of the news. Thenr.net's sister site has finally finished. Please visit www.atrforums.com. It's your one-stop resource center for all your questions. The idea is members ask questions related to their academic work, other members answer and the forums become a huge database of answers and resources. Members are needed for the community to work, so join now! Also, there's an arcade, shoutbox, online fun shop, and it's a great opportunity to meet new people in this comprehensive online community!
Tell everyone you know, the more the merrier ;)
That's all for now

I'd like you all to know that thenr.net is moving to a different host now. A paid host! So, expect much more features and less restrictions, we're going for the real thing now. But, unfortunately, this server switch entails a maximum of 48 hours downtime, after, which the Kenya Story III will be available.
Wish us luck in this endeavor, and happy new years!
PS December just proved to be the most active month for thenr.net, beating out the old champion (August '06), stats will be posted soon!

I awoke this morning only to realize that the forums button leads to a 404 page. After further investigation it seems that the forums have been deleted completely! I'm not sure what happened here, but I apologize to all the members, there seems no way of reviving these forums, so from now on a chapter in thenr.net history has been closed.
A moment of silence now for the 14 member forums, which was mysteriously deleted sometime today or yesterday. =(

Wait, I left?Well I guess you could say that. It's been a VERY long while, you're probably wondering whether this site still exists or not.
It does, sorry.
So, for my return, I've managed to crop out a nice quote of the month for you all, just to really let you know I've returned.
And this month's quote:
"The secret of a good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending, then having the two as close together as possible."
-George Burns (1896 - 1996)
**Keep in mind that quotes posted on thenr.net do not reflect the views of the webmaster, and are subsequently the works and credit of those who first coined them.**
Yeah, I needed to put that one up after I got sued for the Machiavelli quote - apparently I didn't pay sufficient royalties to his great-great-great-great niece. It's a big deal these days.
Hey, wait, remember www.thenr.net/mun ? The online model un portion of thenr.net? Well, it seems I still can't come up with a good banner, and until I do, the forums can't open up for registration, so please email me with any ideas or post in the forums.
I hope you haven't forgotten me!

Okay, so in recent news the Kenya Story directory has been finished. This means you can visit up on your favorite Kenya Story by the following link: www.thenr.net/kenyastory . It's a great resource for a quick link to the stories, or you can always visit the kenya stories through the links on the right hand column of this site.In other news, thenr forums (www.thenr.net/forums) - yes, they were started way back with the site - only has a total of 13 members. Please consider joining and posting to help the site grow and make my dream of an active forum come true! Once we reach the 20 member mark I will be appointing more moderators, so if you start now and are active, there's a good chance you will ascend into moderatorship. And, on the forums I started a Kenya Story roleplay thread, isn't that exciting? Give it a shot at: http://thenr.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=39 .
Also, keep in mind that this month's ASCII animation shall be coming out on the Ides of October. For a reference the ides of every month fall on the 13th except March, May, July, and October, when it falls on the 15th.
Thanks for visiting, and don't forget to give www.thenr.net/forums a try!
